Broadcast Production 
The team at Killick Productions has a wealth of experience in broadcast production. Whether it is our own projects such as the reality series Define Yourself and Finding Balance, the hundreds of commercials or the segment features for speciality channels, each Killick Productions project receives the same attention to detail and professional attitude. Technically we have all of the equipment required to shoot in multiple formats including HDV, DVcam and Mini DV in both NTSC and PAL formats. Our AVID edit suite handles all of these formats plus the old standard Beta SP.

We have also produced and directed multi-camera event coverage of sporting events, awards shows, concerts, telethons and conferences for broadcasters including TSN, CBC and a variety of speciality channels.

Crewing Services 
Over the years John and his associates have provided a wide range of crewing services including producing, directing, 1st AD, camera, audio, lighting and production assistant services for broadcasters and production companies throughout North America and Europe including ABC Primetime, CBS Morning Show, Showcase, Carbon Media, Platinum TV, YTV, Rezolution Pictures, MTV Live, Extra, CBC News World, BBC, Canadian Idol, HGTV, LIFE, TSN, Design Rivals, Calling All Gardeners and Just Ask Jon Eakes.

Corporate and Advertising 
Killick Productions is pleased to offer its services for the production of commercials and promotional videos. Since we are not an agency we can provide our services to a variety of advertising agencies and communications companies. We have teamed up with local agencies for commercials and promotional videos for the Avalon Mall, the Department of Agriculture, Med Atlantic, PowerSmart, and the Department of Transportation. Killick Productions is also the video production company of record for the Hibernia Management Group.

Rental Services 
Killick Productions’ equipment is available on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.

Cameras – 2 Sony Z1U camcorders with 1080 HDV, DVcam and mini dv formats in both NTSC and PAL.

Editing – Avid studio complete edit suite with 1080 HDV, Beta SP, DVcam, Mini DV, DVD and VHS.

Audio – Shure field mixer, complete boom kit, 3 Seinnheiser wireless mic kits.

Lighting – Arri 4 lamp light kit (600, 300, 150, 150) with chimera soft box
DV Pro Rig camcorder body harness, Sun Gun, 8” field monitor.

Music 
Coming from a family of professional musicians, John has studied, performed and composed music for over 30 years. His first job in the television production industry was as an audio technician and music has been an important part of both his personal and professional life. John has composed and produced jingles, election themes, and soundtracks for a variety of award winning projects including the Channel 9 Jingle, the Kids Eat Smart Program and the soundtrack for The Mushuau Innu, Surviving Canada. Recently Killick Productions was pleased to donate our services towards the engineering and production of a series of recordings of provincial and national anthems by the Gower Community Band which has become the official recordings for Government House.
