Winter 2008

This winter the team at Killick Productions were kept very busy thanks to 4 promotional videos we produced for College of the North Atlantic and The Fisheries and Marine Institute. For College of the North Atlantic we traveled to 11 campuses throughout the province gathering footage and interviews for a 20 minute video promoting the courses  they offer that are specifically designed for careers in the oil and gas industry. The College was very pleased with the video and asked that we produce a second, shorter version that promoted all of the courses the College offers. John, Kevin, Gerry, Bob, Deborah and Steve wasted no time shooting, writing and editing under a very tight timeline to ensure delivery of the videos on time and on budget.

The Fisheries and Marine Institute contracted Killick Productions to edit existing footage and shoot new interviews with industry professionals dealing with the topics of cod potting and escape mechanisms for snow crabs. Working closely with Chris Keats and Philip Walsh, the videos were created to promote the new harvesting technologies within the industry to fishers and processors alike. Former CBC Radio fisheries broadcaster Jim Wellman added his familiar voice to both videos.

When Telus needed an employee profile produced in Newfoundland for their monthly employee magazine program they contracted Killick Productions. Working with their Executive Producer Nicholas Cartmell, John shot interviews and cover footage in their Mt. Pearl office and at scenic Middle Cove.
